So here’s my top tip for starting an affiliate marketing business from experience. Use the product first. You know why? This will help you answer any questions prospects have confidently and it will help you sell lots of products.

By the way, “prospects” are new people that you are talking to about a product in the hopes that they take the action you want them to take. Either to sign up or purchase a product.

The sweet thing about affiliate marketing is you do what you already love doing. Which is recommending products to friends that ask. But this time you get paid when they buy.

So next time, when someone is asking for a recommendation, ask yourself how can I get a commission on this?
